Indigenous Perspective on Climate Change

This bundle of resources begins with an activity for educators that supports their ability to guide students to observe the world around them and ask questions about phenomena they see. "Reconnecting with Your Environment" includes several videos where Native American Elders, college students and scientists discuss how a warming world is changing their environment and impacting the way they live. Within this context, middle and high school students then examine the evidence for a changing planet collected by scientists, and consult data to determine if their own community is already being impacted by climate change. An interactive quiz can reinforce what students have learned.
