World Meteorological Day takes place every year on March 23, commemorating the date in 1950 when the World Meteorological Organization was established. The day is dedicated to highlighting weather, climate, and water-related issues. All three of those topics are prominent in both ESS2 (Earth Systems) and ESS3 (Earth and Human Activity) of the Next Generation Science Standards. Bring NGSS and Meteorology Day together by using the resources on this list to help prepare your students to be “Weather-ready, Climate-smart!”
